GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian Thursday evening in Greenville.
The crash happened on Pelham Road at Ingleside Way, according to Greenville Police.
Investigators learned that the pedestrian was attempting to cross from one side of Pelham Road to the opposite side when he was hit by a vehicle.
A portion of Pelham Road has been closed while the crash was being investigated.
Upon arrival of paramedics, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the pedestrian as 77-year-old Kenneth Nicholas Chepy.
The manner of death has been ruled accidental.
